- Google Business Profile Data: When you connect your Google account, we access your Google Business Profile reviews and business information solely to provide our review management service
- Usage Data: How you interact with our service, including features used and replies generated
- Payment Information: Handled securely by Lemon Squeezy — we do not store your payment details
2. Google API Services — Data Usage Compliance
Google API Services User Data Policy: ReviewSage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your Google Business Profile data, nor do we use it to train generalized AI models without explicit consent.
Specifically, regarding data obtained through Google APIs:
- We only access Google data that is necessary to provide our review management service
- We do not share your Google Business Profile data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service
- We do not use your Google data for advertising purposes
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you have given explicit permission, it is necessary for security purposes, or we are required to do so by law
- We store your Google OAuth tokens securely and only use them to fetch and respond to your reviews
- You can revoke our access to your Google data at any time through your Google Account settings or by deleting your ReviewSage account
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our AI review management service
- Generate AI-powered replies to your Google Business Profile reviews
- Send important service notifications and updates
- Process your subscription payments
- Respond to your support requests
- Maintain the security and integrity of our service
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Render.com in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted passwords using bcrypt hashing
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for Google authentication
- Regular security reviews of our codebase
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only with:
- OpenAI: Review text is sent to OpenAI's API solely to generate reply suggestions. OpenAI does not store this data beyond processing
- Lemon Squeezy: Payment processing — we share only what is necessary to process your subscription
- Google: We post approved replies back to your Google Business Profile on your behalf
- Law enforcement: Only when required by law or to protect our legal rights
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 48 hours. Google OAuth tokens are deleted immediately upon account deletion or when you disconnect your Google account.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Revoke Google permissions at any time
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications
8. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. To delete your account and remove all your Google data from our servers:
- Email us at support@reviewsage.net with the subject "Delete My Account"
- We will process your request within 48 hours
- All your data including Google tokens, review history, and account information will be permanently deleted
You can also revoke ReviewSage's access to your Google account directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions at any time.
9. Cookies
We use minimal cookies strictly necessary to operate our service:
- Session cookie: Keeps you logged in to your ReviewSage account
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
ReviewSage is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of ReviewSage after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
